It’s fair to say we we were on an emotional roller coaster during our last few weeks in Scotland, which culminated in our commissioning service last Sunday and flying out of Edinburgh on Monday. There was a lot of last minute packing, trips to the dump and charity shop and amazing help from family and friends!
Thank you to everyone who came to see us off during our last few days in Scotland. It was really great to see so many people out on Sunday. We were very grateful to have the opportunity to be formally sent out and prayed for by the church. Thanks Miriam and everyone who sorted an amazing lunch and to Carlie for an awesome cake. Sorry to those we didn’t quite manage to see before we left; you’ll just need to come to Brazil instead!
Our journey went smoothly. We made all 3 flights (it was touch and go in London after the first flight was delayed but we were up for the familiar jog through Heathrow!). Antonio coped very well on the journey and slept for most of 2 of the flights so can’t really ask for more than that. We are sure that the many people praying for us had something to do with that!
We’re now in São Luis and trying to get settled with a few essential items for our apartment which is comfortable and more spacious than we anticipated.
Here’s a few pics from the last few days.
